Choosing how to glaze an office partition is about finding the right balance between natural light, privacy, and the practical demands of your space. This guide covers the most common configurations we install, to help you identify which option is most likely to suit your project.

All our partitions are fully demountable, meaning they can be reconfigured as your business changes.

Glazed partitions can be single or double-glazed. On double-glazed units, integrated blinds can be fitted between the panes – a practical, low-maintenance privacy solution – with controls mounted neatly on the outside.

Glass manifestation film can be applied to any glazed section for privacy, branding, or aesthetics.

Framework is available in a wide range of RAL colours, and solid sections can be finished in paint or wide-width vinyl with aluminium or laminate skirtings throughout.

Frameless glass option illustration

Frameless Glass

A frameless glass partition uses thick toughened glass with concealed fixings, creating a clean, uninterrupted look with no visible framing or vertical posts. 10mm or 12mm glass, depending on height.

  • Maximises natural light across the office
  • Creates a strong sense of openness and space
  • No vertical posts or perimeter frame means an unobstructed view through the partition

Ideal for: Boardrooms, executive offices, reception areas, and any space where a contemporary, high-end finish is the priority.

Full height glazing option

Full-Height Glazing

Full-height glazed partitions run from floor to ceiling within a slim aluminium perimeter frame. A versatile and cost-effective way to bring natural light into divided spaces.

  • Allows daylight to flow freely between areas
  • Maintains a visual connection across the office
  • Creates a lighter, more open feel than solid or part-glazed alternatives

Ideal for: Open offices, meeting rooms, and internal spaces that benefit from borrowed light.

Half glazed option

Half Glazed

A solid lower section with glazing in the upper half. The solid base sits at roughly worktop height, keeping desk-level activity screened while maintaining light and sightlines above.

  • Daylight passes through the upper glazed section while the solid base screens the everyday clutter of a working desk
  • Offers a practical degree of privacy for seated occupants
  • Power and data sockets can be fitted in the solid section

Ideal for: Open-plan offices where furniture and storage will be positioned against the partition on either side.

Solid panel option

No Glazing (Solid)

A fully solid partition with no glazing, the right choice where complete visual privacy or strong acoustic separation is needed.

  • Complete visual privacy between spaces
  • Higher acoustic performance than glazed alternatives
  • Various fire ratings available to suit your building’s requirements

Ideal for: Private offices, server rooms, call centres, and any space where confidentiality or sound control is a priority.

Glazed to door height option

Glazed to Door Height

The glazed section runs from floor to door-head height, with a solid panel continuing from the door head to the ceiling. This creates a consistent horizontal line across the partition run, particularly effective when multiple bays are installed together.

  • Clean, well-ordered appearance with a shared sightline between door and glazing
  • Allows good daylight flow at and below door-head height
  • Feels considered and architecturally integrated, particularly across longer runs

Ideal for: Offices where a traditional or architecturally integrated aesthetic is preferred.

Above door height option

Glazed Above Door Height

The partition is solid from floor to door-head height, with glazing only in the section above. Privacy is maintained at desk and standing height, while some daylight is still borrowed through the upper part of the wall.

  • Strong visual privacy
  • The glazed section above reduces the enclosed feel of inner rooms and allows some daylight through
  • Furniture and storage can be positioned against the partition on both sides without interruption

Ideal for: Private offices and meeting rooms where wall space and privacy matter, but some connection to surrounding daylight is still desirable.

Solid glass solid option

Solid / Glass / Solid

Glazing sits at roughly eye height in the middle section, with solid panels above and below. Useful where wall space is needed on both sides at full height.

  • A band of visual connection at eye level while keeping the full height of the solid sections free for furniture or shelving
  • Power and data can be incorporated into either solid section
  • Suits spaces where furniture will be pushed against both sides of the partition

Ideal for: Offices where wall space is needed on both sides, and some visual connection between spaces is still wanted.

Glazed side light option

Glazed Side Light

A narrow vertical glazed panel positioned directly alongside the door, framed and glazed to door-head height. A neater alternative to fitting a vision panel within the door itself.

  • Allows people to see whether a room is occupied before entering
  • Gives a cleaner, more considered finish than a door-mounted vision panel
  • Manifestation film can be applied if partial privacy is preferred

Ideal for: Meeting rooms and private offices where a vision panel in the door is not preferred.
