Firmly established Business Network Chamber of Commerce appointed Rodley Interiors to guide and carry out their office relocation within Leeds City Centre.
Assessing the Requirements
The Chamber of Commerce reached out to Rodley Interiors to assist with and steer their strategic office relocation project, moving their Business Support, Membership, and Representation teams.
We established our clients’ requirements during our site visits, discussing their likes and dislikes and the rationale for the project. In collaboration with the Business Enterprise Fund’s refurbished space, the Chamber’s subsidiary company, which provides financing and start-up loans to companies across the region, this was certainly an exciting and progressive project for the Chamber.
Overcoming Challenges
This significant office relocation posed its own challenges: the new location was on the 5th floor and was constrained by a narrow staircase and the building’s original architectural features. This could have made lifting the materials to the floor space difficult and somewhat time-consuming. By planning our offload and distribution, our on-site team overcame these challenges competently.
Office Spatial Solutions
We recommended utilising the building’s available natural light with office glass partitioning; the glazed partitions also acted as a clever office spatial solution, projecting the appearance of a larger area. We created;
- Boardroom and Meeting room areas.
- Larger and smaller office spaces.
Single-glazed, frameless glass partitioning was installed between 2 existing internal columns that formed the large boardroom area.
This partitioning system is fluid and visually appealing, becoming a feature in its own right. The partitioning we installed throughout this office relocation reflected the professionalism and quality our client upholds and created a productive, functional environment for all staff.
