Progressive law firm Plexus required new glass office spaces being built within their Leeds workplace.

The Design Brief
Plexus Law, a national leader in defendant legal services, operates from some of the UK’s most modern professional spaces. Their Central Leeds office, located in a prestigious landmark building, features expansive perimeter glazing, providing the perfect canvas for a high-specification glass partitioning project.
The objective was to create a suite of individual offices and a formal reception area that felt seamless and fluid. By prioritising glass, we significantly reduced the need for artificial lighting, lowering energy costs and ensuring natural light reached deep into the space.
Creating a Professional First Impression
For a leading legal firm, the reception area is critical for setting the tone with visiting clients. The brief called for an entrance that felt bright, upmarket, and welcoming.
To achieve this while meeting strict safety standards, we installed fire-rated single-glazed frameless partitioning. This system provides the “optimum specification” for high-traffic public areas, offering a high-end aesthetic without compromising on stringent fire safety regulations.

Acoustic Privacy for Legal Consultations
Moving from the public reception into the main workspace, the requirement shifted toward acoustic performance. To mitigate the noise of a busy office, and ensure confidentiality for legal discussions, we transitioned to a double-glazed frameless system. This setup offers the best of both worlds:
Visual Continuity: The frameless design maintains the “all-glass” theme, ensuring unobstructed views across the office and a consistent design language.
Acoustic Integrity: High sound-reduction qualities to ensure privacy between offices.
